So I go to California in a week, and as you could probably guess my diet has consisted of Chick-fil-a and Amy’s ice cream until today. Now that seven days stand between me and surfing, I figured I needed to find ways to satisfy my sweet tooth, but still nourish my body.
The words “chocolate” and “healthy” aren’t usually paired together, but this recipe is delicious & actually really good for you. I personally used a Nutri-Ninja bullet to blend it, but I imagine it’d be just as good if made with other blenders!
Combine in a blender:
1 frozen banana
1 date (or raw honey to taste)
2 tbsp almond butter
Dash of sea salt
2 tbsp cacao powder
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
A few pieces of ice
Just combine all these together in a blender & you have yourself a tasty health chocolate smoothie! I like this recipe a lot because I really like how you can actually taste the banana in this one, because banana + chocolate = the perfect pair!
